Misinterpreted Bible Passages
Christians should not criticize the behavior of other Christians. Believers do not have to be sick. Great wealth can be ours if we only have enough faith. Tongues speaking is one of the gifts of the Spirit. These are just some of the prevalent concepts that many “contemporary evangelicals” tenaciously and in some cases destructively cling to.
Yet as those who subscribe to Biblical authority (Sola Scriptura) the question that always needs to be asked is: Do these concepts square with the teaching of the Word of God? Or have certain prominent televangelists (like Kenneth Copeland and Creflo Dollar and Morris Cerullo) and others twisted the scriptures to support their erroneous teachings and beliefs?
In this new six week series we will carefully examine these popular concepts and see whether or not they are in fact rooted in Biblical truth.
