A Letter From the President:

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and thank you for your interest in Bloomfield Hills Institute of Theological Studies. This institute has been established in order to meet an important need in our area.

Within contemporary evangelicalism, many Christian lay-people are not receiving the necessary training and instruction to help them effectively serve the Saviour both within their local church and in a very challenging outside world. The question then is: Where can they go to receive such training? The answer: Bloomfield Hills Institute of Theological Studies!

As you will see from this catalogue, we have designed courses that will instruct fellow believers, from a variety of evangelical churches, in the vitally important areas of doctrine, apologetics, and ministry training. We believe that our curriculum can help you to be all that God wants you to be, as you seek to serve Him!

We invite you to join us, as we seek to grow together in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18)!

A Letter from the Dean:

The Apostle Paul reminds us that the responsibility of the church and its pastors and teachers is to “equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ” (Ephesians 2:12, NLT). This is, of course, ultimately the work of God the Spirit, communicating the life-transforming truth of the Scriptures, using the instrument of human teachers.

Here at the Bloomfield Hills Institute of Theological Studies we believe that essential to spiritual maturity is an understanding of the Scriptures and a commitment to orthodox theology. A former pastor and mentor of mine used to say, “Right living begins with right thinking. And right thinking begins with right thinking about God.”

So our purpose here at B.H.I.T.S. is to give the people of the church a theological and biblical foundation from which they will grow into all that God desires them to be and from which they will be used by God to transform the world around them.
